Setting Up Your Outgoing IMAP Server in Mac Mail

When setting up your Mac Mail account, you may encounter situations where you need to use a server name instead of the usual domain name. This is usually the case when using an outgoing IMAP server. You will also need to specify the incoming mail server, which should be prefixed with 'imap.' or 'pop.'. You can choose whether you want to use IMAP or POP as your account type. IMAP is the default option.
